Buying your own home is one of the greatest feelings in life.Of course this happened more often than it is today during the housing boom. But when buying a home there are some things that you should ensure you have knowledge about.  One of those things is pests. So here are some things to look for to make sure the pests are taken care of when you buy.

First of you should just come straight out and ask the seller if there are any pest control problems.  We get called out to homes all the times by sellers in our San Diego pest control service.  Most of the time they are doing it to satisfy any potential buyers.Most homeowners will be truthful and tell you about it when you will be asking about it.

Next thing you want to do is look for any sign of ants. In my San Diego ant control service I always ask my clients to see if there are ants on the outside of the home.  If there are, then there is a good possibility they are in the home as well.As a buyer prospect you can look for this as well.Search on the outside of the house for any traces of ants.

Lastly you need to be certain that there are no rodent related problems. In my San Diego rodent control service this is another troublesome pest.Because they can multiply faster than rabbits once they have nested in your home.Checking the attics is one of the best way for you to determine the existence of rats or mice.  You want to look to see if there are mouse droppings. There is a problem if there are.
